
Music
is the medium
that brought Barbara Taft and Abraham Davidson together years
ago and music is the medium that has brought them together with
thousands of people whose lives have been enriched by their
harmonies. Drawing from musical influences as diverse as classic
hymns, ancient Jewish melodies, Black spirituals, contemporary
folk, country and pop, Barbara and Abraham weave an enchanting
spell with their original songs of love, faith, hope, peace
and joy. |

originally from Detroit, appeared on a weekly television show, on
radio and in concert with The Motif, a Detroit performing arts group.
After moving to Houston, Barbara performed solo at weddings, in
churches and for other private engagements until she met Abraham
Davidson when they began singing as a duet. Barbara appeared in
the Touchstone Pictures film Heartbreak Hotel, playing one
of Elvis Presley's backup singers, the Sweet Inspirations. A songwriter
as well as a singer, she released Raw Material, a CD of her
original songs.

a singer and songwriter, has performed internationally, including
appearances at the Kerrville Folk Festival, the American Center
in Paris, the American School in Nazareth, the Boardinghouse Theater
in San Francisco, and the famed Gerdes Folk City in New York. Before
joining forces with Barbara, he produced an album of original songs,
entitled Children of Creation
